Do you ever feel like your outfits are missing something?
Do you feel blah and bored with the same old outfit combinations?
If you answered yes to both or one of these, I have four solutions for you.
There are four basic elements that make an outfit interesting; Color, pattern, shine, and texture. Because these elements will add dimension, your look will be anything but boring.
Elements That Make an Outfit Interesting
COLOR
Color is essential to any outfit. Neutrals can be amped up by adding a pop of color in a scarf, tie, jewelry, or shoe. If you love to wear bright, muted, or light colors, you can move to the other elements.
STYLE TIP: Wear your best colors near your face.

PATTERN
Patterns come in all different styles, colors, and sizes. Even a small amount of a print or pattern, adds some interest to your outfit. If you prefer solid clothing, incorporate patterns via shoes, scarves, and handbags.
STYLE TIP: If you are more creative or daring with your personal style, mix your patterns. Keep in mind the scale and never pair two patterns that have the same size.

SHINE
Time to break out your jewelry, metallic, or patent shoes and handbags (clutches).
If bold styles are not your thing, opt for delicate jewelry pieces that still add shine and suit your personal style.
STYLE TIP: Statement necklaces or bold earrings are an easy way to keep the attention up near your face.
TEXTURE
When you add texture to your look it creates dimension. You can do this with embroidery, eyelet, lace, leather, suede, and tweed. Shoes and belts are also great for adding texture.
STYLE TIP: A monochromatic outfit can easily be broken up by adding visual interest with some texture.
