Top 5 Fall Fashion Trends

One great thing about a new season is the opportunity to update your wardrobe with a few new pieces. If a trend speaks to your personal style and image, go for it and try something new. Everything seems to get recycled, as trends come and go.

Velvet, the fabric of the season. You can find it in everything from tops to pants to dresses and skirts. And, if you prefer to not wear it on your clothing, you’re in luck because it’s also on handbags, shoes, boots, and scarves. It’s such a great texture that you’ll want to touch these pieces constantly. Don’t be afraid to wear these items in the morning and into the night.

STATEMENT CHOKER

A statement choker has been making it’s way back into the scene this year thanks to a 90’s resurgence. You will find a mix of materials this go around from velvet, rope, leather, metal, and lots of bling. When done right they can look very elegant with a gown or relaxed and casual mixed with your weekend wear.

ROMANTIC BLOUSES

If you are looking to break away from the traditional button down shirt, enter it’s opposite which is much softer and girly. You will find plenty of blouse options that are feminine, delicate, and romantic. They are great addition to your suits, skirts, or jeans. A single new romantic blouse could be the focal point you need for your outfit.

CAPES

There are two different versions of capes and I’m going to focus on the coat version today. In case you were wondering, the other one is a poncho. A cape is very elegant and chic. It brings a level of sophistication to your entire look. There are a ton of neutral options in the stores, and also some bold colors, fun patterns, and fur along the collar for some added flair.
