Pantone announced the Color of the Year for 2017 – Greenery. It’s a great color for spring and year round. And, it’s quite the change from last years two colors – Rose Quartz and Serenity. This fresh and zesty yellow-green shade can be a bit tricky to wear close to your face. If you love it I have a few tips on how you can incorporate it into your wardrobe.

PAIR IT WITH NEUTRALS
Greenery looks amazing when you pair it with neutrals – brown, beige, gold, and navy. You can tone down your overall look, depending on where you decide to wear the color by adding neutrals. Or, make greenery be the center of attention.
MONOCHROMATIC
Greenery can be a little hard to find in the stores. As you will see from my shopping guide, I found green shades as close to greenery as possible. With that being said, you can do a tonal/monochromatic look and vary the shades of green you are wearing.
MIX IT WITH BRIGHTS
Since greenery is a bit more on the brighter side, pair it with other bright colors. Blue, pink, and yellow are some excellent color pairings. If your style is on the preppy side, this will be a great way to incorporate this color. It’s also a great color to add if you are going on a tropical/beach vacation. Makes me think of designer – Lilly Pulitzer.
PATTERNS
If greenery is not your friend – meaning it doesn’t look great near your face, wear it in a pattern. As long as the other colors look great near your face, it’s an easy way to incorporate it into your look. You also have the option to wear it on your lower half or with an accessory.
ACCESSORIES
If you are looking to add a splash of greenery into your wardrobe, accessories are your friend. It’s an inexpensive way to incorporate and try a new color without making a big investment. Shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, scarves, and handbags are all great ways to add small amounts of greenery into your wardrobe.
